ABOUT US

Paediatric Neurology Association of Hong Kong (PNAHK) was inaugurated on December 4, 2009 by a group of Paediatric Neurologists in Hong Kong. The aim of the Association is to maintain and advance the knowledge and the standard of management and care for children and adolescents with neurological disorders. PNAHK also acts as advocate for these children and adolescents who may have developmental, educational and rehabilitation needs.

PNAHK organises scientific, academic and social meetings in order to encourage interchange of ideas with consensus on standardisation and cooperation in the management of neurological disorders in children. In addition, it coordinates territory-wide Paediatric Neurology services, research and training. Local, regional and international organisations interested in the field of Paediatric Neurology will be liaised to achieve the objectives of our Association. One of the most important mandates of PNAHK was the accreditation of Paediatric Neurology subspecialty in Hong Kong. For years, our Association and our members have been working closely together towards this goal. In 2013,  Paediatric Neurology (PN) has been recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians (HKCPaed) and has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since November 6, 2013.

As of 2019, PNAHK has more than 70 Full and Associate Members. Our Association will continue to serve our members with academic, training and research needs. We will also strive to provide information resources for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals as well as for our patients and their families in Hong Kong.
